My research is focused on the therapeutic potentiality of bacteriophage and phage derived proteins. It was long known about the advantages of phage therapy against pathogenic bacteria. Our preliminary studies suggest that phages or phage proteins can act in concert with metal nano particles against antibiotic resistant pathogenic bacteria and more importantly against the biofilms caused by them. We are exploring this possibility of developing a coupled drug with nano particles and intact phage/phage proteins to be used clinically or industrially.
