Description:
This course enables students to understand spoken and written English and use it in their daily life. It also provides the students with comprehensive knowledge of English skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). In addition, the students will be exposed to ESP context where they learn English vocabulary related to their major; accounting. The course enables the students to benefit from the material related to business in their future study of accounting. The course consists of three major components, vocabulary and grammar, reading and writing, listening and speaking. The course takes the students from elementary level to pre-intermediate level in the four skills listening, speaking, reading and writing with focus on business terminology. It also ensures that students can use a range of relevant vocabulary and form basic sentences. Objectives: Use English to communicate accurately. Use grammatical rules to construct meaningful sentences. Develop the ability in listening to native speakers. Listen attentively and identify the topics and ideas related to business. Deliver a clear and coherent oral presentation. |
