CI 319 - Policy of Teaching English in Saudi Arabia

This course aims to introduce the students to the Educational policy in Saudi Arabia. It also aims to familiarize students with the aims and goals of teaching English in the different education stages. Furthermore, the course will familiarize students with the situation of teaching English in Saudi Arabia, the importance of teaching and learning English, and suggestion to improve the teaching/learning process.

By the end of the term, students should be able to:

1. Describe and analyze the aims of teaching English in Saudi Arabia.
2. Study and analyze the curriculum of teaching English in Saudi Arabia.
3. Study and analyze the standards and criteria of preparing English language teachers in Saudi Arabia.
