I’m a firm believer in education like my parents who made every effort in order for me to enjoy a long-term relationship with 0s and 1s from an early age. Here is me @ a glance:

Shada Alsalamah is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the College of Computer and Information Science, King Saud University (KSU). She is currently a Consultant for The Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and CoEIA’s representative at the Female Chapter. Shada is also a member of a number of local and global communities of cyber security advocates including, Hemaya, CIAG -The Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability Group-, and Women in Cyber Security. In 2015, she received a PhD degree in healthcare information systems’ security and privacy, and an MSc degree in 2010 in Strategic Information Systems with Information Assurance from the School of Computer Science & Informatics at Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK. Finally, Shada is experienced in conducting interdisciplinary research to address complex information security and privacy issues in multi-agent collaborative environments with heterogeneous distributed information systems.
 
Shada plays an active role in voluntarily supporting youth’s education and the enforcement of its learning objectives using hands-on experience and extracurricular activities. In 2016, she became a registered and certified mentor supporting national and international cyber security- and programming-related competitions and hackathons including, but not limited to, IEEEXtreme 10.0, Cyber 9/12, Google Hash Code, Capture the Flag, New York University Abu Dhabi Hackathon, and IBM Blockchain Hyperledger Hackathon. In addition to being an invited keynote speaker on a number of events including the Computer Science for High School (CS4HS) Google Initiative Training Workshops Program hosted by Prince Sultan University along with the i10X10 Essentials of Health Informatics Symposium organised by the College of Medicine, King Saud University Medical Centre, and “Let’s Think” Seminar organised by Al-Yamamah University back in 2007.
