IE634 (Occupational Biomechanics)
This courses has been designed for PhD students. Course contents incude application of engineering, static and dynamics, determination of biomechanical and phyiological stress, and methods for anthropometric measurement.
The course also covers following areas of interests:
(i) structure and biomechanics of bone, cartilage, and skeletal muscle;
(ii) dynamics and control of musculoskeletal system models.
(iii) Physical exposure assessment techniques
(iv) Observational methods (pen-paper based observational methods)
(v) Videotaping & computer-aided observational methods),
(vi) Direct methods (posture assessment, postural strain or local muscle fatigue assessment)
(v) Self- report methods on physical work load.
