NUR 501: Theoretical Foundations of Nursing

A general overall introduction for the concept of nursing theory and the nursing theoretical evolution is provided. Included is the study of the major elements of the theory construction and development. Criteria for analyzing and evaluating theories is emphasizes and applied to the examination of selected theories in nursing The critique will be discussed in term of the relationship between theory development and the nursing practice trends in using education and nursing research.
