CE 444 Environmental Engineering
The Environmental Engineering course provides a comprehensive introduction to pollution problems, its sources, impacts on the environment and control strategies. The course explores water pollution and its effects, water quality standards, and treatment technologies. The students will also learn about air pollution, including its sources, effects, air quality and emission standards, meteorology, and pollution control technologies. The course examines solid waste management, emphasizing reuse, recycling, and ultimate disposal methods. Finally, it investigates the sources, effects, and control of noise pollution, including measurement techniques and standards. This course emphasizes the application of engineering principles to develop effective solutions for pollution control, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to address environmental challenges.
