مختصر السيرة الذاتية
Currently. I am working as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. Have obtained my Ph.D in 1994 from Mac Master University , at Ontario in Canada. Have more than 30 years teaching experience in different universities teaching different under graduate and post graduate courses in the field of structural engineering . My research interests are diverse in several areas related to materials and structures from both theoretical and experimental points of view. Regarding materials, I worked on several research projects related to strengthening and repairing columns with ferrocement composites, developing high strength mortars to be used in ferrocement laminates and developing strain hardening cement based composites utilized in hot weather conditions. In addition , the theoretical research interests are related to modeling and analyzing different structural concrete members and structures under both static and dynamic loading, with special interest in evaluation and strengthening existing structures and bridges. In addition I worked as consultant and reviewer to several major projects in and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He published several research papers in refereed international conferences and journals.
