Working Experience
I. I worked for three years in the Western Sudan Agriculture Research Project (WSARP) at the Kadugli Research Station as a Research Assistant for the Department of Range and Livestock (Nutrition, Breeding, diseases and Range Sciences). During the three years with WSARP, I developed a very good understanding of farming systems research where multi-disciplinary teams work together to define the system and enhance overall productivity.
I was involved directly in solutions to the production constraints to both sedentary and migratory livestock production systems in Sudan. I was responsible for the following specific studies:
A.) The impact of protein and phosphorus supplementation on the    productivity of cattle.
B.) Utilization of crop residues by cattle during the dry season.
C.) Determination of digestibility for indigenous feed available in Western Sudan.
D.) Improvement of nutritive value of native hay and crop residues through ammoniation  and their resultant feeding value for desert sheep (El-obeid).
E.) Bone meal supplementation of lactating cows during the dry season to increase milk production

II. During 1994, I successfully completed a field experiment of nine months duration in western Sudan identifying mineral deficiencies in grazing ruminants. The objectives of this study were:
1St   To determine the seasonal variations in concentrations of calcium, phosphorus, copper,   selenium, iron, zinc, and manganese in forages.
2nd   To determine the annual changes in the mineral profiles in blood of cattle and correlate these changes to concentrations in the available forages.
(This study was supported by the Rockefeller Foundation African Dissertation Internship Award and Washington State University, USA)

III- I involved in establishing the Department of Animal Production at Jerash University in a way of the study plan, animal farm (dairy, sheep and poultry) and teaching laboratories (Animal nutrition, physiology and reproduction). I worked as a coordinator of the department of animal production at Jerash University, JORDAN, beside my teaching responsibilities.
IV- I was the consultant at National Center for Agricultural Research and Technology Transfer (NCARTT), JORDAN, for developing a long term research plan from 2000 to 2005 in the area of livestock production and health.
V- I am the head of the department of animal production, Faculty of Agriculture, Mu’tah University, Jordan since 2003.

Teaching Experience:
A.) I involved in teaching Ruminant nutrition class (AS 410) as a teaching assistant last spring (January to May, 1995) at Washington State University. The class consists of lectures and lab sessions. The lectures cover the anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and metabolism in ruminants. In the lab, we identified the major structure of the GIT of ruminants, studied factors, which affect type, and motility of rumen microorganisms, determined the effect of feed substrate on in vitro disappearance (VFA, lactate and ammonia production). In addition, we conducted an in vivo digestibility trial, colorimetry analysis, and solving practical problems in dairy, beef and sheep nutrition and rations formulation using PC-Diary.
B.) I have a good experience in teaching the following courses:
1.Animal Nutrition 2. Ruminant Nutrition. 3. Introduction to Animal Science. 4. Sheep and goats Production. 5. Forage Production & Analysis. 6. Dairy Cattle Production. 7. Animal Feed and feeding. 8. Meat science 9. Animal Physiology. 10. Seminars. 10. Agric. Practical 1 and 2.
