SWE602: Modeling and Optimization for Software Engineering

This course will introduce the theory and application of advanced modeling and optimization techniques from the software engineering perspective. It will include discussions on modeling principles, model analysis and software engineering methods. It will also focus on Formalizing decision making problems affected by uncertainties at different stages of a software development, solving the models with different optimization techniques, and interpreting the results. Part of the course will be devoted to reading, presentation, and discussion of relevant research papers.
