EQUA 510 - Statistics in Business Analytics

Course Objectives:
Basic probability concepts and hypothesis testing. Nonparametric statistical techniques and their applications to business research will also be covered in the course, with emphasis on applications of Statistical computer software such as SAS, SPSS, or Excel for data analysis.
The objectives of the course are as the following:
 To provide the student with the fundamental concepts and terminology of Statistics.
 To describe the statistical analysis approach and understand how to apply it in a real situation.
 To understand and use computers and spreadsheet models to perform statistical analysis.
 To prepare the student to perform scientific interpretation of real problems.
 Recognize implementation concerns of statistical analysis.
