Crop Ecophysiology (PPS 620)
The Crop Ecophysiology course (PPS 620) is a mandatory requirement for Ph.D. students. It covers the function and performance of plants in their natural environment, bridging the gap between plant physiology and ecology. The course also examines plant adaptation to different environments from both physiological and ecological perspectives. The Ecophysiology course examines how plants adapt to different environments and the physiological processes that impact them in their natural habitat. The course includes small group experiments and a mandatory three-day field trip during the mid-semester break. Students will also give two oral presentations in small groups after the mid-semester break.
