Course General Description:

This course trains students with concepts and mechanisms of scientific research, including senior students’ (MA / PhD students) engagement in individual/independent research projects with faculty Supervision. Investigation of any selected problems in applied or theoretical Botany. Determine the subject of research and development of systematic planning to conduct research, a review and study of previous studies, Methodology, and References tab.

Course Main Objective(s):

• This course is designed to guide the student to become an independent researcher/scientist and to fulfill the following objectives:
• Gain knowledge of selected advanced topics with particular emphasis on the latest developments in Botany.
• Teach students the importance of time and how to use their time efficiently.
• Conducting a literature search, how to store references, how to write a report, how to prepare a poster and a presentation, and how to deliver a lecture, how to read a scientific paper, and how to prepare a proposal on a topic given to them at the beginning of the course.
• Teach how to collect and analyze data using statistical packages.
