Human Physiology : PSL - 224
This course of physiology of the human body is designed in an integrated manner stressing on how the body and its parts function together and how the different physiological processes are combined and arranged to form a well-organized unit to make the body operate as a whole.
The course will settle the idea of how the structure determines the function. The course clarifies how the parts of our bodies are combined and arranged to form a well-organized unit, and each of those parts has a job to do to make the body operate as a whole.
A student who successfully completes the course will have reliably the ability to:
- Identify and explain the basic physiological processes, which facilitate human body movement and control the awareness and response to the environment.
- Discuss in brief the different applied body functions.
- Identify structures and functions of the central nervous system.
Recognize the physiological functions of the following human body
systems :
- Cardiovascular System
- Respiratory System
- Digestive System
- Urinary System
- Endocrine System
Understand the principles and mechanisms of the body function.
Identify how body functions after illness.
