Course Description:
This course enables students to understand spoken and written English and use it in their daily life. It also provides the students with comprehensive knowledge of English skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
The course consists of three major components, vocabulary and grammar, reading and writing, listening and speaking. The course takes the students from false beginners to elementary level in the four skills listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also ensures that students can use a range of relevant vocabulary and form basic sentences.
Objectives:
- Understand the grammatical rules and form correct sentences.
- Identify the component of a sentence pattern.
- Use a range of relevant vocabulary that is related to different themes.
- Understand short texts in English.
- Write simple English sentences
- Understand short talks in English (words –sentences )
- Produce a clear, coherent oral presentation.
