CHS 334 Epidemiology
Course description
Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health and disease in different human populations and the application of methods to improve disease outcomes. The purpose of this course is to identify and describe the role of epidemiology in measuring the occurrence of health related states among population and in evaluating the effectiveness of preventive programs and health care services. The course will also discuss the biological, behavioural, sociocultural and environmental factors associated with the etiology and distribution of health and disease.
