Course Objectives:

· Overall Objective:
This course aims at developing learning, thinking and research skills of KSU PY students and enabling them apply these skills in their university and practical life.
· Behavioral Objectives:
God willing, by the end of this course. It is expected that students ( He/She) will be able to:
1) Make use of effective study skills in his university life.
2) Recognize skills of information processing during studying.
3) Applying skills of information processing, summarizing, note-taking, and mind-mapping in learning.
4) Using speed reading strategies in his university studies.
5) Make use of his test management skills from the first day in the semester till the end of all final exams.
6) Discriminating among scientific research tools.
7) Applying mechanisms of finding documented information during preparing scientific researches.
8) Applying skills of research writing in his university study according to the norms of research writing.
9) Comparing between skills of both critical and creative thinking.
10) Using thinking skills in his practical life.
11) Using thinking programs in his practical life.

Education outcomes: (understanding, knowledge, mental and practical skills.)
When the student completes this course, he or she will be able to:
· Use effective ways of studying in his university study.
· Apply skills of information processing (remembering, summarizing, note-taking, and mind-mapping) in his university and practical life.
