PHT 351: Sterile Dosage Forms

Description:   Physicochemical properties as well as the design and formulation of ophthalmics and injectable dosage forms; including isotonicity, acid-base properties as well as sterilization principle and techniques will be studied. Basic principles of radiopharmacy and radiopharmaceuticals will also be discussed

Objectives:     The course proposes to integrate knowledge concerning the design and formulation of injectables and ophthalmics dosage forms with the basic physicochemical principles which govern pharmaceutical systems. This course should provide the information necessary for the pharmacist to recognize the different sterilization techniques.
