ME 374 - Thermodynamics II
Course description: Thermodynamics (II) is a fundamental course in Mechanical Engineering. It provides a continuation of topics covered in Thermodynamics (I). The course starts with the definition of exergy and continues with applied concepts, including engine, power plant, and refrigeration cycles. Property relations and methods for dealing with mixtures and gas-vapor mixtures with applications to air conditioning are then covered. The course concludes with the introduction of hydrocarbon fuels and the application of the first law to reacting systems.
