Biochemical Toxicology -PHL 532

This course is concerned with elucidating with the cellular and biochemical/molecular mechanisms of drug and chemical toxicity. This course focuses on the molecular basis of toxicological manifestations in response to drug and chemical exposures with a focus on target organ toxicity (e.g., hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, etc.). It also discusses methodologies and techniques used in molecular toxicology including the use of experimental models (in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro) and omics techniques.
