My research is mainly focused on the genes involved in insect reproduction, physiology and development, and to exploit this molecular information to design the future novel pest control strategies by deploying the modern biotech approaches like RNAi. Also, we use the DNA-barcoding technique based on mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) to identify the genetic diversity among various insect populations/species.
