Eyyup Aras is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at King Saud University, where he has been a faculty member since 2009. Dr. Aras completed his Ph.D at the University of British Columbia, Canada with a focus on the virtual manufacturing. After his Ph.D he worked as a researcher- post doctoral fellow at the same institution. He received a BSc degree in Computer Science from University of Toronto, Canada, a MSc degree in control & robotics, and a BASc degree in Mechanical Engineering both from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. His current research interests are in the areas of the CAD/CAM, Three-axis and five-axis CNC machining and the Geometric modeling. He is a member of the APEG (EIT), BC, Canada and ASME.
