ISY 356 Big Data Analytics

This course provides an introduction to big data and data analytics lifecycle processes to address challenges that leverage big data. The course covers foundational techniques and tools required for big data analytics and focuses on concepts, principles, and techniques applicable to any technology environment and industry. It provides grounding in basic and advanced analytic methods and an introduction to big data analytics technology and tools such as Hadoop and MapReduce. The course has labs throughout to provide practical opportunities to apply the concepts taught in the course in the context of the data analytics lifecycle and to use the methods and tools in real-world applications.
