Basit Shahzad, PhD

My name is Basit Shahzad. I am a good reader and a very good listener.I am a reader of history, poetry, science, and human behavior. I hold a PhD in Information Technology from University Technology PETRONAS in Malaysia. The title of the PhD,  MS degree in Computer Software Engineering from National University of Science & Technology (NUST).
My career objectives revolve around conducting and supervising research in Information Systems (Enterprise Architecture, Software cost and risk modeling, Mitigating technological risks in modern banking), Advancements in Research Methodologies (Quantitative, Qualitative, Mixed method) and Social Networks (Theory, Empirical Social Network Analysis, Microblogging based analysis) etc. I have vast research experience in these research areas and have over 55 publications at my credit. Many of the conference publications are IEEE/ACM while most of my journal publications (especially in the current and last years) have good impact factor. Currently, I am working as a reviewer of some highly reputed journals and conferences. I am also Editor-in-Chief for two journals including ‘International Journals of Knowledge Society Research (IJKSR)’ and ‘International Journal of Computing and Social Networks’ and working as Guest Editor for a special issue on “Effectiveness of Social Networks and Their Applications’ in World Scientific Journal.
I have been a part of research and teaching institutions since 2000. My 14 years’ experience includes working in elit institutes like King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in Islamabad.These institutes have very good academic reputeand fall in top institutes in the renowned world rankings.
