Introduction to Computer Arithmetic (CEN 416)

Students in this course will be introduced to several computer arithmetic topics that include: standard and unconventional number representations, design of fast two-operand and multi-operand adders, multiplication and division algorithms, floating-point numbers, and hardware algorithms. Selected topics related to implementations like pipelined, digit-serial and fault-tolerant arithmetic processors are covered.
