Goals:

My long-term goals are to participate in the advancement of dental material sciences through research and to excel in my academic career.

Current Position:

• Lecturer, Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, King Saud University from August, 2013 to date.
• Demonstrator, Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, King Saud University from August 2009 to July 2013.

• Master thesis research “Effects of surface treatment and cement type on retention of zirconium oxide posts: an in-vitro study” 2013, supervised by Prof. Khalil Aleisa.
• Literature review paper as a part of Perio-Prosth treatment planning seminar course “Comparing fixed versus removable prosthetic options for advanced periodontal cases in term of longevity and effects on the periodontal status” 2010, supervised by Dr. Zeyad Al Sowygh.

Scientific Presentations and Awards:

• Second place in the Scientific Excellence Award among King Saud University postgraduates for the research paper published in the Journal of Dentistry 2013, 41(4): Pages 377-383.
• Third place for the Bachelor level on the presentation of research titled ‘Assessment of the educational environment of the dental school as perceived by students at King Saud University’ in the First King Saud University Students Research Preparatory symposium in 2010. The research was performed with a colleague Al-Hanoof Al-Degaishem, Supervised by: Dr.Samar Al-Saleh and Dr.Ebtissam Al-Madi.
• Second place for Young Dentist Research Award on the presentation of the research titled ‘Assessment of the educational environment of the dental school as perceived by students at King Saud University’ in the 20th Saudi Dental Society & 2nd National Guard New Dental Era International Conference & Workshops, and IADR Saudi Arabian Section and General Assembly Meeting, April 20-22, 2009. The research was performed with a colleague Al-Hanoof Al-Degaishem, Supervised by: Dr.Samar Al-Saleh and Dr.Ebtissam Al-Madi.
• "Management of mandibular fracture" presentation was presented in Riyadh Military hospital as a part of internship training, October, 2008. It was evaluated as very good, well organized and informative.

Research Grants:

• Received research grant from King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology Grant No (0857-12), 2012 for the research “Effects of surface treatment and cement type on retention of zirconium oxide posts: an in-vitro study”
• Full Scholarship from King Saud University for the Master’s of Sciences in Dentistry degree, 2009-2013

Clinical Experience:

• Practice as Prosthodontist in King Saud University Faculty Clinic from September 2013 to date
• One month practice as Prosthodontist part time in Coral Private Dental Clinic, 2013
• Four years practice as Prosthodontist as a part of the Clinical Training and Master’s degree in the College of Dentistry, King Saud University, 2009-2013
• Full year general dental practice during the internship training program in the College of Dentistry, King Saud University and Riyadh Military Hospital, 2008-2009.

Academic and Teaching Experience:

• From August 2013 to date, academic experience as lecturer in the Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, King Saud University, supervising undergraduate students in lab and clinical courses and giving lectures
• Two years experience as demonstrator in the Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, King Saud University, supervising undergraduate students in lab and clinical courses and giving lectures, 2011- July 2013
