Abdulrahman S. Al-Rasheed Earned His bachelor's degree in psychology in 1996, Laying the Foundation for His Academic Journey. Subsequently, He Pursued His Passion for Cognitive Psychology, Obtaining His First Master's Degree from King Saud University In 2000, Followed by a Second Master of Philosophy from the University of Surrey In 2007.In 2007, Abdulrahman Pursued His Doctoral Studies Under the Guidance of Professors Ian Davies and Anna Franklin at the University of Surrey, Culminating in the Completion of His Doctorate In 2010. Abdulrahman Is Currently an Associate Professor in The Department of Psychology at King Saud University.

Abdulrahman Al-Rasheed's research uses cognitive, behavioural and neuroimaging techniques to look at aspects of colour perception and cognition. He is especially interested in the influences of linguistics on perception, categorical perception and the effect of reading direction on categorization. Abdul's research aim is to investigate the contribution of language to categorization, also to explore categorization across various languages using behavioural approaches such as eye-tracking and measures of accuracy and reaction time.
Abdulrahman is currently involved with several research studies. These include: 1) Cross-cultural differences in hue perception and cognition. 2) Effect of language on cognitive processes 3) Factors underlying hue preference 4) The effect of reading directions in categorization and cognition.
