I am an assistant professor in the Bachelor of Midwifery program within the Maternal and Child Healthcare Department at the College of Nursing, King Saud University. With a background in both midwifery and academic instruction, I am committed to advancing maternal and newborn health through education, research, and practice.
My research interests focus on women’s healthcare, the development and recognition of the midwifery profession in Saudi Arabia, and educational practices in both midwifery and nursing. I am particularly interested in respectful maternity care, midwifery-led models, and the integration of cultural competence into maternal care. My work aims to strengthen evidence-based practices, enhance the quality of midwifery education, and support midwives' professional identity and autonomy in the region.
Through my academic and clinical roles, I have actively contributed to the education and training of future healthcare providers. I also engage in research that informs policy and promotes the advancement of midwifery as a key pillar in women’s health services.
