ACCT 599: Research Project in Accounting

This course is designed to help the student to undertake a research project. It provides a clear guide to help the student to undertake research as well as highlight the realities of undertaking research, including the more common difficulties. The course is designed to provide the student with a guide to the research process and necessary knowledge and skills to undertake a piece of research from thinking of a research topic to writing the project report.

By the end of this course, the student will have been introduced to and explored a range of approaches, strategies and methods with which the student could undertake his/her research project. The student will be able to make an informed choice about the approaches, strategies and methods that are most suitable to his/her own research project and conduct a research project from choosing a research question to analyzing and concluding the results.
