EHHA 506 – Health Insurance Administration

This course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills related to health insurance management. This course presents students with an overview of major issues related to the design, function, management, regulation, and evaluation of health insurance and managed care plans. Provides a firm foundation in basic concepts pertaining to private and public sector health insurance/benefit and plans. The course explores methods such as health insurance policy, claim processing, and treatment approval. This course will also introduce the students to the cooperative health insurance system as applied in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the relationships between the patient, the provider, and the insurance company.
