MGT 411: Strategic Management

This course introduces contemporary concepts and theories of strategic management that help students to identify important principles that an organization may use in strategic decisions making the process that will affect its long term performance in an increasingly competitive business environment. The students will also be exposed to current strategic management practices in an organizational context.
 
 The specific emphasis will be placed on strategic management issues facing by national and international organizations, including entry into the new market, international network and the impact of economic and IT. The successful implementation of strategic management concepts and theories will be presented in the classroom – but it depends on students’ ability to use them in a particular situation that an organization faces. Therefore, students may not only try to understand the theories, concepts, and frameworks of strategic management discussed in the classes, they should make efforts to apply them in their seminars discussions, presentations, and assignments.
