Dr. Abdullah AlAsmari was graduated from King Saud University (KSU) with a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011 with second class of honor. After that, he joined the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in 2011 as a senior pharmacist in the executive directorate of pharmacovigilance and crisis management. In 2012, Dr. Abdullah became a teaching assistant in the department of Pharmacology & Toxicology in the college of Pharmacy at KSU.
In 2013, Dr. AlAsmari joined Auburn University (AU), Harrison School of Pharmacy department of Drug Discovery and Development (DDD) to pursue his PhD under supervision of Dr. Jianzhong Shen and Dr. Amin.
In 2017, Dr. AlAsmari returned to KSU with PhD degree and became an assistant professor in the department of Pharmacology & Toxicology. He is currently an Associate Professor and Vice Dean of Graduate School for Programs and Initiatives. Dr. AlAsmari is working on different funded projects, which aim to induce cardioprotection against different mechanisms that can induce cardiac damage
