Prof. Abir Alharbi أ. د. عبير حميدي الحربي

Abir Alharbi is a professor of computational mathematics, specifically artificial intelligence theory, at King Saud University. She completed her PhD at the Florida Institute of Technology. She then started as a research fellow for the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in the center of the study of complex systems. Later, she joined UCL London at the Complex Center for postdoc research. She also was a research visitor to the Department of Mathematics at Maxwell Institution in Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. She has published many research articles in well-known journals, and she is the author of three books in the area of computational and applied mathematics. Dr. Alharbi also invested in managerial skills, achieving executive certificates in Management and Leadership and Strategic Planning. Dr. Alharbi has been working in academia for over twenty years, during which she took on various responsibilities and leadership roles in the university, including being the Assistant to the V.P. for Planning and Development, Vice Chair of the Department of Mathematics, and Head of the Vision Realization Office. Prof. Alharbi also is very active in designing KPIs and constructing indicators that measure the development of women in Saudi Arabia
