Abir Benabid Najjar is is an Assistant Professor and the vice-chair of the Software Engineering Department.
She earned her PhD in Computer Sciences at the Pierre and Marie Curie University of Paris (UPMC), Paris, France. Before that, she earned an MSc in in Computer Sciences (major fields were Operational Research and Combinatorial Optimization) from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG), Grenoble, France, and another MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble (ENSIMAG), Grenoble, France. During the time of pursuing her PhD thesis, she taught a number of university courses at the Pierre and Marie Curie University of Paris and at the Paris Ouest Nanterre la Défense University.
She also worked as Postdoctoral researcher in the Network Theory and Communications Research Group (TREC), a joint research group between the National institute of research in Computer sciences and Mathematics (INRIA) and Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris, France.
Then, she joined King Saud University in January 2012 as Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Department, and then has been appointed as Vice-chair of the female side since September 2014.
