What it the course about?
The course is designed to give you a good understanding of microbes of soil, water, air, foodstuff, normal microflora of human, oral cavity, skin, stomach and intestines, respiratory tract, eye, genitourinary organ, and animals.
The assignments, projects, and other activities in this course are designed to help students to learn the principles of microbial ecology, and report their presentation topic clearly and concisely, both in oral and written form. Students are expected to show up for class on time and be prepared for the class activities, work diligently, ask questions and participate in class discussions.
Textbook: There is no official text book for the course though there will be assigned readings from the primary literature.

Evaluation:
Individual Written Scientific Report 40 points
Mid Exam 20 points
Final exam 40 points
No electronic devices of any kind will be permitted during the exams.
If you cannot attend the Final exam for a valid reason (illness, accident, family
crisis), it is your responsibility to inform me as soon as possible and provide suitable
documentation (doctor’s note or counselor’s note).
