Alaa Sultan Bahabri

د.آلاء سلطان باهبري أكاديمية وباحثة سعودية في مجال الإعلام والاتصال، تهتم بدراسة الإعلام الرقمي ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، مع تركيز على تجارب المستخدم والمنهجيات الرقمية في تحليل السلوك الاتصالي. حصلت على درجة الدكتوراه في الإعلام والاتصال من جامعة La Trobe  في ملبورن – أستراليا، حيث تناولت أطروحتها فهم الفضاءات العامة والخاصة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في السياق السعودي، وما يرتبط بها من ممارسات وتصورات اجتماعية.

قدّمت د.آلاء عددًا من الأوراق البحثية في مؤتمرات علمية محكّمة، تناولت من خلالها اتجاهات وسلوكيات السعوديين على المنصات الرقمية. و تعمل حاليًا أستاذًا مساعدًا في الإعلام والاتصال بجامعة الملك سعود، وتُدرّس مقررات : الإعلام الجديد، ومناهج البحث الإعلامي، ونظريات الاتصال، الكتابة في العلاقات العامة، و تخطيط الحملات الإعلانية و الإعلامية . وإلى جانب عملها الأكاديمي، تنشط مهنيًا في مجال الاستشارات الإعلامية والاتصالية، مع اهتمام بالحضور القيادي، والاتصال الاستراتيجي، وإدارة الأزمات الإعلامية.

Dr. Alaa Sultan Bahabri is a Saudi academic and researcher specializing in media and communication, with a particular focus on digital media, social media, user experience research, and digital methodologies. She holds a PhD in Media and Communication from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Her doctoral research examined public and private spaces on social media within the Saudi context, exploring users’ behaviors, practices, and perceptions of digital communication.

Dr. Bahabri has presented her research at various academic conferences, contributing insights into Saudi audiences’ attitudes and behaviors on social media platforms. Her earlier research interests focused on television audiences; for her Master’s degree in Mass Communication at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, she conducted a study on Saudi women’s gratifications and preferences regarding women’s television programs.

She is currently an Assistant Professor in Media and Communication at King Saud University, where she teaches and coordinates courses in new media, media research methods, and communication theory. Alongside her academic career, Dr. Bahabri is actively engaged in professional media and communication consultancy, with interests spanning strategic communication, executive presence, and media crisis management.
