Molecular Pharmacology (PHL-614)

This course is intended to provide students with an understanding of the molecular aspects of receptors, signal transduction, and drug-receptor interactions. Emphasis will be directed toward the various ion channels, G-protein coupled receptors, kinase-linked receptors, and intracellular receptors with discussion of their different types and involvement in drug actions and related diseases. The tutorial sessions will be devoted to discussing recent advances and research related to the topics dealt with in the theoretical part of the course.
