Course description and Goals
An advanced course dealing with the nutrition of poultry. In-depth coverage of nutrients, nutrient metabolism, and nutrient requirements. Study of the biochemical and physiological functions of nutrients in life processes. At the completion of this course, students should have an advanced understanding of the fundamental principles of the nutrition of poultry. The course will prepare students in careers in the feed industry and farm management. The course is also designed to prepare students for graduate study in several areas of the animal sciences.

Attendance policy
The attendance policy in for this course will be as stated in Mutah University Student Handbook. Regular and punctual attendance at all class sessions is the responsibility of each student. A student who incurs excessive absences may be dropped from a course by the instructor. Students are expected to attend all classes.
Academic Dishonesty
Cheating and other forms of academic dishonesty will be regarded as serious offenses. Anyone guilty of academic dishonesty will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of Mutah University regulations.
Grading Policy
Grades will be assigned on the basis of student performance in two semester exams, a final exam, and Lab assignments & quizzes. The final exam will be comprehensive.

Poultry Nutrition Laboratory
This is a poultry nutrition lab and you will learn to utilize information and principles of nutrition to do various calculations, formulate diets and work on real-world scenarios related to nutrition and feeding. You will be expected to remember lecture facts and to be prepared to take information and solve problems.
