Aims
The course aims to give the students a good knowledge of different aspect of Project Management and prepare the student for future professional activity.
Objectives
Upon the successful completion of this course, a student should be able to:

Understand the organizational context and constraints of a project.

Analyze, design, plan, and schedule a project.

Correctly analyze the profit / loss situation of a project.

Monitor and report the status of a project.

Course Description
Project Management will be presented using the structure and vocabulary used by PMI (Project Management Institute) and the Project Management reference book (PMBOK Guide).
The
PMBOK Guide is process-based, meaning it describes work as being accomplished by processes. This approach is consistent with other management standards such as
ISO 9000 and the
Software Engineering Institute's
CMMI.
Processes overlap and interact throughout a project or its various phases.
The course will cover at least 8 out of the 9 knowledge areas described in the PMBOK Guide and required for the PMP certification:
