Born around 1944 in Unayzah, Saudi Arabia. B. A. 1971 in Sociology from Northern Illinois University, De Kalb, M. A. in 1974 in Anthropologyy from Northern Illinois University, Ph. D. in 1982 in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of California, Berkeley. M. A. Thesis: THE POSITION OF JINN IN THE ARAB WORLD VIEW. Ph. D. Thesis: NABATI POETRY: THE ORAL POETRY OF ARABIA. Happily married and have 6 children.
