1- Course Description:
This course helps degree seeking no specialists get acquainted with a variety of science-oriented texts. This also encompasses concentrating on teaching them technical scientific and technological vocabularies, in addition to Basic English grammars.
II-Rationale:
This course indeed boosts the students' ability to write a lab report and refers to scientific resources. Grammar is the backbone of any language and knowing the grammar of a language is always equal to knowing the language itself.
III- Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, English majors are expected to be able to
1-handle a scientific text
2-distinguish high numbers, fractions and measurements
3-exploit English words and grammars in their college study
4-identify unfamiliar vocabulary
5- analyze the reading texts.

VIII- General Course Requirements: Every student is responsible for his own attendance He is expected to be an active participant in class. A mid-term and final exam will be held and no make-ups will be allowed. All written assignments should be submitted in the due dates.
