CLS 282 - Clinical Metabolism

The course offers a detailed description of cellular metabolism and its regulation. Major metabolic pathways of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids are extensively discussed, along with clinical correlation with disease conditions. In the laboratory, students learn how to apply analytical procedures to the detection and measurement of clinically relevant metabolic intermediates and correlate test results with clinical outcomes.
