Course title: Translation in the Field of Administration (Level Six) / Contact Hours: 2

The course aims at developing an understanding of the terminology and concepts often

encountered in administration. Students are encouraged to read relevant texts in English

and Arabic and pay special attention to the jargon and style of administrators in both

languages.

Students are required to develop a language-specific glossary of terms, indicating their

use in various contexts, based on the course readings and assignments given.

On completing this course, students should be able to:

 Understand the basic problems facing the translator engaged in the field and

become aware of some of the common solutions available,

 Translate with some ease and skill texts in the above mentioned area of

specialization.
