The bursting of the dot-com bubble in the fall of 2001 initiated new technological revolutions
including the evolution of Web 2.0. The all-new Web not only changed the face of the business but also
played an increasingly important role in the education sector. Students today have a host of web
apps at their finger tips that can truly facilitate a better learning environment. The use of Wikis,
pods, VLEs, and apps for information sharing have open new horizons for learning. The purpose of
this article is to study the scope of e-learning system using web 2.0. How web 2.0 has enabled
E-learning to penetrate deeply into educational institutions and common masses. It will help to
understand the idea and scope of E-learning systems and their future using Web 2.0.
