I- Course Description:
This course aims at training students to read passages related to students' own life, knowledge and environment i.e. social, economical, historical, religious, etc. They'll read sentences and paragraphs and essays about certain themes or topics of interest such as living in another culture, good health, and success in business, shopping, planets, etc. Stress is laid on answering questions, matching words with their meanings, synonyms, opposites, learning new vocabulary and some confusing, misused words, forming tenses and using them correctly. The reading, grammar, and vocabulary activities provided in this course book are designed to promote students' critical thinking skills, and eventually encourage them to explore their own ideas about the chapter theme.
