§         Current position since 2000: professor in the department of Computer Science, College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University.

§         Obtained the degree of Doctor of Sciences Doctorat d’état es Sciences’ in 1976 in the area of CDF’ Computational Fluid Dynamics and got the degree of MSc ‘DEA’ of Applied Mathematics in 1972.

o        He obtained both degrees from prestigious French institutions: Ecole Centrale de Lyon & Université de Lyon.

§         Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University.

§         Joined the prestigious French National Scientific Research Center (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ‘CNRS’ ) and was assigned to the Ecole Centrale de Lyon.

§         Participated in consultancy and research assignments for prestigious organizations in France and Italy including Avions Marcel Dassault-Breguet Aviation, Société Nationale d’Etudes et Construction de Moteurs d’Avions (SNECMA), Electricité et Gaz de France (EDF, GDF), Délégation Générale a la recherché Scientifique et Technique (DGRST). q     Consultancy Services to Mubarak Public Library for acquiring a new Library Information System covering Mubarak  Public Library activities within the main branch and its satellite branches in Egypt.

q     Consultancy Services to the Information and Decision Support Center,  IDSC, the Cabinet,  Cairo for the  technical evaluation of the Advanced Library Information System, ALIS.

q     Technical evaluation of the Egyptian Inter-Universities project  for interconnecting the Libraries of the seventeen  Engineering   Faculties via a LAN/WAN and to the Internet, Engineering & Technical   Education Project, Ministry of Higher Education, World Bank,  Cairo.  (System value LE 4,000,000).
