Aims

to understand the evolution of the concept of students reading.

 Recognize the most important skills and reading strategies.
-- relations between reading and Arabic language characteristics.
-- Recognize the techniques and procedures of teaching reading in the different stages of public education.

Syllabus

Nature of reading, the evolution of the concept of reading, the process of reading, reading skills, reading strategies, methods of teaching reading.

Teaching methods

Lecture + discussion.

Evaluation

research project + mid-semester & final exam.
60% to the work of student and the mid-semester exam and 40% for the final exam.
