.. ..The main purpose of this subject is to introduce students to advance concepts of database systems. The skills and understanding developed in this course will provide the necessary background for designing and implementing databases of different complexity for web platforms. On successful completion of this course, students would be able to determine functional dependencies, connect constraints, determine a different type of keys, perform normalization, describe properties of BCNF, explain indexing, understand file structures, and design/implement complete information storage and retrieval systems.
