إن جودة الحياة في المدينة تبدأ بفهم علاقة الإنسان بالبيئة المحيطة وانعكاسها على نمط حياته وسلوكه. وتعد الأحياء السكنية اكثر البيئات التي يقضي فيها الإنسان وقته ويمارس فيها أنشطته. لذلك تهدف هذه الورقة الى تسليط الضوء واقع الأحياء السكنية المعاصرة والتحديات التي تواجه الارتقاء بها ضمن إطار جودة الحياة وبما يتسق مع توجهات رؤية المملكة 2030.
