Dr. Shaun Sabico is an assistant professor and deputy director at the Chair for Biomarkers of Chronic Diseases, Biochemistry Department at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD in medical sciences from Warwick Medical School, Warwick University, UK. He has co-authored more than 250 scientific papers/in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals and co-edited the book on Sarcopenia. He is an editorial board member for Aging, Clinical and Experimental Research, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) Middle East and North Africa, the World Health Organization Collaborating Center Operational Committee (WHO-CC) and the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases. He is the 2019 recipient of the ESCEO-IOF Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Award and the 2023 Islene Araujo de Carvalho Prize.
